This role will ensure product is produced or serviced within a timely fashion meeting customer and quality specifications.
Primary role is to engineer and drive teams to develop solutions using latest tools and technologies.
Take a holistic approach proactively when faced with a challenging task or assignments.
Act as a Trusted Advisor, Subject Matter Expert with focused Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering knowledge.
Responsibilities Provides resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of a variety of factors.
Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions on assignments.
Performs root cause and failure analysis of components, materials and processes including but not limited to semiconductors, PCB's, electrical components, FPCs, lithium-ion cells.
Skilled in use of and or interpretation of X-Ray, SEM/EDX, CT radiography, FTIR, XRF.
Analyzes and performs tear down of assemblies and components.
Skilled in cross sectioning of assemblies and components.
Generates detailed reports of analyses performed including recommendations.
Performs competitive benchmarking of components, materials, and processes utilized in the industry.
Responsible for maintenance, control, and repair of lab equipment.
Responsible for training associates, including documentation, on lab equipment.
Reviews product changes or upgrades to existing designs or test procedures.
Makes and implements recommendations to improve product and team performance.
Understands customer needs and reflects those needs in support work.
Develops positive relationships with other engineering disciplines and other functions.
Develop new tools to aid in the analysis and solving of problems.
Leads internal meetings driving design and selection of components, materials, and processes.
Interact with internal and external teams along with representing client to our suppliers in helping resolve escalation and issues and as well educating them on innovative technologies.
Provides technical and engineering leadership and support to manufacturing and quality personnel during new product introductions along with transition of new manufacturing processes to sustaining mode.
Implement company directed initiatives to help meet corporate objectives.
Minimum Qualifications BS or BA in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering with 2
years' experience engineering capacity Experience working in a consumer electronics industry.
Knowledge of Printed Circuit Board and surface mount soldering technology Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with Engineering digitalization processes, 6 Sigma and lean manufacturing Knowledge of MS Office suite of products, JIRA, Power BI and Confluence.
Presentations skills and effective communication with all levels.
