Position Overview As the Director Systems Engineering, you will provide the technical leadership on programs by defining, designing, analyzing, and optimizes system solutions consistent with customer, market, and regulatory requirements. Working in tight collaboration with Product Management and Program Management, you will develop the system design and ensures the product design implementation complies to the customer and given product requirements. You will also regularly develop approaches and recommendations for new solutions. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been fully met. Responsibilities Leads a team of architects that designs, and supports developing, and testing of system solutions to several highly complex technical projects. Creates system specifications for the projects. Recommends project approach and goal targets. Leads technology roadmap process and intersection of target product portfolio. Champions new innovative thinking and creativity in team members to cultivate and retain top talent. Firsthand field research in customer environments to establish deeper understanding of their existing processes, challenges, near-term/long-term goals and formulating solutions to their future needs/aspirations. Prioritizes quality and seeks out improvements in all aspects of the projects. Maintains keen awareness of competitor products and development direction to help direct designs to surpass the competition. Performs details competitive benchmarking. Creates formal internal and external networks involving coordination among groups. Serves as an organization spokesperson on specialized projects or programs. Acts as prime consultant on large projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. years of experience in people management Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to broadly diverse audiences and to guide both local and remote teams in achieving their goals. Experienced in defining system requirements from complex customer use cases. Strong ability to present detailed information at the appropriate level. Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing complex electronic system solutions, extracting critical parameters, and deriving an appropriate resultant execution strategy. Prior experience in Qualcomm/MTK Platform architecture. Prior working knowledge of recent Android O/S. Demonstrated out of the box thinking Prior successful experience in bringing innovation to mass production Strong problem resolutions skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
