Vehicle Description 1966 Gotham Roadster, custom C4 corvette This is a fully functional driver quality car.
The almost 20' long fiberglass body is built on top of a 1987 Corvette with 84,000 original miles that had a clean carfax.
Granted it is not perfect and not a completely accurate 250k concourse quality show car in any way and was not intended to be, it was built to be more of a muscle car with the sole purpose of being used & enjoyed for parades, local car shows, cruise nights etc.
and is priced accordingly.
Currently on the road registered & insured as a 1987 corvette.
This C4 Corvette-based '66 Gotham Roadster is loaded with options.
Z52 sport handing package, upgraded to Z51 mono leaf springs, 3:
07 performance rear axle ratio, power rack & pinion steering, 5.
7-liter tuned port fuel-injected engine, 4-speed automatic transmission, 4 wheel independent suspension, 4 wheel disc brakes, Heat, A/C (converted to R134) tilt & telescopic steering, full digital instrumentation, power seats, power lift actuators for the hood & trunk, aluminum 15-gallon fuel cell with the sender for factory dash gage, MSD high-pressure electric fuel pump, LED fog lights, LED tail lights, interior lights, rearview camera, Media center with fold-out screen, AV input, Bluetooth, etc.
, etc.
, the spare tire & jack are still in the factory location under the rear of the car, Even the factory pollution control, and underhood emissions decal is still intact and functioning as it should and much, much more.
This car runs and drives very well for a 34-year-old corvette, even my wife drives this car.
The almost 3' stretch to the corvette chassis has made the ride much better than a factory corvette, however, the ride is firm with the Z51 performance spring upgrade.
the extended wheelbase has also improved the handling and cornering as well.
Not to mention the stance is much lower to the ground and more streamlined.
(Being lower on an extended wheelbase Could be a problem with speed bumps and loading on & off trailers) All these type of cars are not 100% street legal (no matter who built it) due to the absence of, marker lights, DOT-approved glass & windshield wipers.

There are no known issues with this car except on very rare occasions it will puff a little smoke on the initial start up for a split second but clears right up instantly, doesn't do it very often and would probably not do it at all if it was driven more frequently.
